As an experienced Nurse Mentor, you will play a key role in supporting and developing a dedicated clinical team while ensuring residents receive the highest standard of person-centred care within this welcoming 75-bed aged care facility in Morphett Vale. This is a hands-on clinical leadership role focused on mentoring, supporting and developing the team, with a strong focus on resident care and clinical outcomes.

YOU | You will hold current, unrestricted Div 1 Registered Nurse registration with AHPRA and have experience providing clinical leadership or mentoring within an aged care setting. Whether you are currently working as a Nurse Mentor, Clinical Care Coordinator, Care Manager, Clinical Nurse, Senior Registered Nurse or Team Leader, you will bring strong clinical judgement, a resident-centred approach and a genuine passion for developing others.
- Current unrestricted AHPRA RN registration
- Clinical leadership or mentoring experience in residential aged care
- Experience as a Nurse Mentor, Clinical Care Coordinator, Care Manager, Clinical Nurse or Senior RN
- Knowledge of aged care assessments, care planning, AN-ACC and compliance
- Strong mentoring skills across RNs, ENs and PCWs
- Strong communication, clinical judgement and interpersonal skills
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance and Police Check
- Available Monday–Friday afternoons and within 30 minutes of the facility, or willing to relocate
THE ROLE | This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of Australia's fastest-growing aged care providers in a full-time Nurse Mentor position based in Morphett Vale. Working Monday to Friday afternoon shifts, you will provide dedicated clinical leadership and mentoring support to the clinical team, while maintaining a strong focus on resident wellbeing, care and clinical outcomes.
Reporting to the General Manager, with ongoing support from the Clinical Care Manager, you will act as a senior clinical resource for the afternoon shift team. The role is focused solely on clinical leadership, mentoring and supporting staff, and ensuring residents receive high-quality, person-centred care.
Key responsibilities include:
- Mentor and support RNs, ENs and PCWs
- Provide clinical leadership and guidance
- Support complex clinical care and resident escalations
- Oversee assessments, care planning and documentation
- Support AN-ACC, referrals and compliance requirements
- Liaise with GPs, allied health, hospitals and families
- Lead clinical handovers and team communication
- Identify and support clinical improvement opportunities
- Promote a positive clinical culture through role modelling
Importantly, this is not a rostering, administration or staff-cover position. The focus is on clinical leadership, mentoring and resident care.
