Hunter New England Local Health District (HNELHD) is seeking an organised and motivated Clinical Support Officer to join our Maternity Services team at Tamworth Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of safe, respectful and woman-centred maternity care by providing high-quality administrative support to a dedicated multidisciplinary team.

About The Role

As the Clinical Support Officer, you'll play an integral role in supporting the day-to-day operations of Maternity Services. Reporting to the Midwifery Manager and working closely with the Midwifery Unit Manager, you'll help ensure the service runs efficiently by providing a broad range of administrative and operational support.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Coordinating workforce and recruitment administration.
  • Maintaining staff rosters and responding to payroll and leave enquiries.
  • Preparing reports, correspondence and other documentation.
  • Supporting birth registration processes.
  • Ordering and monitoring clinical and office supplies.
  • Coordinating meetings and maintaining records.
  • Providing professional administrative support to staff, patients and families.

No two days are the same, making this an ideal role for someone who enjoys variety, works well under pressure and takes pride in delivering accurate, timely administrative support.

Tamworth Hospital Maternity Services provides high-quality, woman-centred care to women, babies and families across Tamworth and surrounding rural communities. What You'll Be Doing

Provide timely and accurate administrative transactional services to support the provision of clinical services across the service under the direction of the nursing/midwifery unit manager (N/MUM).
