About The Role

As a Clinical Support Officer (CSO), you'll play a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred healthcare by providing professional administrative and clerical support to clinical and leadership teams. Your contribution will help ensure the efficient day-to-day operation of the department, enabling clinicians to focus on delivering exceptional care. This part-time opportunity offers a consistent Monday-to-Wednesday roster, providing the ideal balance of meaningful, rewarding work and valuable work-life flexibility within a supportive healthcare environment.

In this dynamic role, you'll coordinate a broad range of administrative functions, including maintaining accurate records, managing data across NSW Health systems, preparing professional correspondence and meeting documentation, coordinating appointments and room bookings, and supporting purchasing and procurement processes. You'll also work closely with managers and clinical staff to coordinate education, training, and compliance activities, ensuring organisational processes run smoothly and efficiently.

As a key point of contact for patients, staff, and external stakeholders, you'll deliver exceptional customer service through phone, email, and face-to-face interactions while maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and attention to detail. Guided by NSW Health and Hunter New England Local Health District policies, you'll be an integral member of a collaborative team committed to delivering safe, efficient, and outstanding healthcare services.

The Scone Administration Team is a valued and collaborative team at Scone Memorial Hospital, proudly part of the Hunter New England Local Health District (HNELHD). As the first point of contact for many patients and visitors, the team plays a pivotal role in delivering exceptional administrative and reception services that support high-quality, patient-centred healthcare.

Working in partnership with multidisciplinary teams, you'll contribute to the seamless operation of the hospital through responsibilities including patient admissions and appointments, medical records management, reception services, data management, correspondence, and essential administrative support. Your professionalism and attention to detail will help ensure a positive experience for patients, visitors, and staff alike.
