Rivan Industries (Rivan.com) is a synthetic fuel company designed to decarbonise heavy industry. We aim to make synthetic fuel cheaper than fossil fuels and sustain life on earth by keeping the CO2 locked underground.

We design and manufacture modular synthetic fuel plants consisting of a DAC system, an Alkaline Electrolyser, and a Sabatier Reactor, whilst vertically integrating with off-grid DC solar and the European gas-grid. Here’s our entire business plan. We’ve recently deployed the UK’s largest synthetic fuel plant and are planning to 1000x this scale in the next 2 years.

We are looking for a Commercial Manager to drive our commercial and partnership agreements.

The role:

• Build Rivan’s commercial pipeline from first contact to signed agreement, negotiating offtake agreements and partnerships for our synthetic fuels. You’ll build relationships quickly with commodity traders, industrial incumbents, and within high growth sectors to enable our rapid expansion through Europe.
• Contribute to our overarching commercial strategy, developing pricing models and market entry routes that enable us to scale from our first plants to volume deployment.
• Operate centrally, co-ordinating finance, engineering, manufacturing, deployment and permitting to convert commercial opportunity into real, delivered projects, ensuring elite execution of our go-to-market strategy at every stage.

Core skills:

• 5-6+ years professional experience within energy, chemicals, industry, manufacturing or trading
• Bachelor’s or Masters in related field (preference to STEM)
• Experience and aptitude for brilliant first-principles thinking and strategy

Specifics:

• £100-120k Salary depending on experience
• Share options as part of the early team
