The Team You're Joining

SFOC's Organizing & Communications Team works toward a shared goal of tackling the climate crisis - building solidarity with civil society organizations to help SFOC's policy proposals and campaign messages reach and resonate across society.
Rather than reacting to individual issues one at a time, we develop campaign strategy within the bigger picture of major industrial transitions - such as steel and energy - and design collaborations connecting civil society, media, and policymakers to drive real, lasting change.
We take pride in knowing that our campaign outcomes translate directly into greenhouse gas reductions with real social impact, and we value a culture where colleagues think through strategy together and grow as a team.

How You'll Contribute

Lead and manage SFOC's steel industry greenhouse gas reduction campaign
Develop campaign strategy and messaging on the steel industry transition
Build and operate coalitions and partnerships with civil society organizations
Plan and execute press conferences, policy proposals, and online/offline campaigns

Who We're Looking For

Experience planning mid-to-long-term campaigns in climate/energy or industrial transition
Ability to craft messaging and content that builds social consensus
Experience planning and running joint campaigns with civil society organizations
Strong communication skills for collaborating with internal and external stakeholders (Korean language proficiency required)

Nice to Have

Experience working with civil society organizations.
Experience in climate change-related activities and campaigns.
Understanding of climate, energy, and industrial decarbonization issues.
Experience conducting campaign activities outside Seoul / the Seoul metropolitan area.
