The Control Systems Lead is a senior technical leader responsible for end‑to‑end ownership of connectivity system solutions within Power & Energy (P&E). This role leads through technical expertise and influence, driving cross-functional alignment to deliver robust, validated, and scalable connectivity capabilities. The position ensures clarity in execution across requirements, integration, validation, and release cycles using structured delivery frameworks and governance practices. What You Will Do: System Ownership & Technical Leadership Own system-level definition and integration across onboard and enterprise connectivity systems. Translate business and customer requirements into system-level designs and technical direction. Cross-Functional Leadership Align multiple teams on clear execution expectations across scope, timeline, and ownership. Serve as the primary technical interface between onboard teams, connectivity platforms, and product stakeholders. Delivery & Release Execution Own delivery outcomes from requirements through validation and release readiness. Drive validation planning and execution for firmware and connectivity feature releases. Ensure readiness for release gates and adherence to quality standards. Problem Solving & Technical Support Leadership Lead complex technical issue investigations and root cause analysis for connectivity and telematics systems. Strategic Initiatives & Innovation Drive or support key connectivity initiatives such as: Enterprise cloud UI (Vision Link) adoption in P&E Data center connectivity solutions Next-generation telematics hardware technology adoption Operational Excellence & Governance Establish and drive consistent workflows and execution frameworks across global teams. Define prioritization, escalation, and accountability models. Scope & Impact Acts as system-level owner for assigned connectivity capabilities Accountable for delivery quality, release readiness, and system performance What You Will Have: Demonstrated experience in control systems, embedded systems, telematics, or connectivity engineering Proven ability to lead cross-functional technical delivery efforts Strong experience in requirements definition, system integration, and validation Experience in connectivity system integration for Power & Energy, Machine or similar applications Experience with telematics platforms, remote services, or system-level architecture Familiarity with next-generation connectivity technologies and system evolution initiatives Top Candidates Will Have: Aligned with Control Systems Lead expectations Embedded systems and system integration expertise Requirements analysis and system design Product testing and validation strategy Technical troubleshooting and root cause analysis Project and delivery management Cross team integration and influence Communication of complex technical concepts Relationship management across stakeholders Typical Tools / Systems Azure DevOps and standard engineering workflow tools Telematics diagnostic tools (CANAlyzer, Wireshark, Modbus Sim/Scan etc…) Enterprise cloud/offboard applications – Helios, DSP, VisionLink Enterprise collaboration and engineering tool chains Success Measures High-quality releases with reduced field issues Effective cross-team alignment and reduced escalations Successful execution of strategic connectivity initiatives Additional details: This position requires the candidate to work full-time at the Mossville, IL office. Domestic relocation assistance is available for this position. Visa sponsorship is NOT available with this position Posting dates: July 30th - Aug 9th Summary Pay Range: $128,470.00 - $192,710.00 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
