Cook

Role Description The House Cook is a full-time, on-site role based in a Villa in Umm al-Quwain, United Arab Emirates. The Cook will prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to menu specifications and Villa standards, ensuring consistent quality, presentation, and portion control. Daily responsibilities include organizing ingredients, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, following food safety and sanitation guidelines, and properly storing food and supplies. The Cook will do menu planning, assist in inventory management, and respond to special dietary requests and preferences. The role also involves working flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, to meet resident needs.

Qualifications

• Professional experience as a Cook
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, basic and advanced cooking methods, and kitchen equipment operation.
• Understanding of food safety, hygiene standards, and HACCP or equivalent practices.
• Ability to follow recipes, menu guidelines, and plating standards while maintaining consistency and quality.
• Good time management skills and ability to work efficiently
• Relevant culinary certification or diploma is an advantage; prior experience in al cuisine is a plus.
• Basic English communication skills

Gross salary: AED 2000.00
