What impact you’ll make As a member of the operations team, you will be an active contributor to the safe, efficient, and precise movement of heavy components, ensuring production timelines are met while maintaining the highest standards of site safety Job Description What you’ll do Operate cranes (with up to 275T capacity) to safely lift, move, position, and relocate heavy components. Safely manage complex lifts using our shop floor rail-mounted cranes, including 275T, 72T, 50T, and auxiliary smaller-capacity units. Perform daily pre-shift inspections of crane equipment, hoists, cables, and rigging gear to ensure operational integrity. Coordinate effectively with riggers, spotters, and ground personnel using standardized hand signals or radio communication. Adhere strictly to all OSHA standards and site-specific safety policies. Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs to supervisors or the maintenance department immediately. Monitor load capacities and ensure all lifts remain within rated limits per load charts. Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safe crane operation. What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications) Valid crane operator certification. Previous experience in heavy manufacturing or construction environments, specifically with high-capacity overhead or gantry cranes. Demonstrated ability to read and interpret load charts, capacity ratings, and rigging instructions for overhead lifting equipment. Must be available to work 1st shift (5:00am-1:30pm) or 2nd shift (3:00pm-11:30pm) Willingness to work overtime as needed to support business operations. What will make you stand out You have a passion for safety excellence and promoting a "safety-first" mindset in a fast-paced shop environment. You are someone who brings strong spatial awareness and high attention to detail while maneuvering loads in tight or busy assembly areas. You have direct experience operating heavy-lift overhead cranes in the 200T+ range.
