CT Technologist - Float Team

Role Overview: The CT Technologist supports a variety of imaging services across multiple facilities within the region, ensuring safe, high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience. This role involves applying expertise in CT procedures, verifying patient information, explaining procedures using AIDET, and maintaining safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform CT exams according to physician orders, protocols, and safety guidelines.
• Verify patient identity, gather relevant history, and screen for contraindications, including contrast risks.
• Communicate procedures clearly and empathetically to patients and families.
• Prepare, position patients, and assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety.
• Establish IV access, administer contrast media safely, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Operate CT scanners and injectors, confirming proper settings and markers.
• Optimize imaging techniques to achieve diagnostic quality while minimizing radiation exposure.
• Evaluate image quality, identify urgent findings, and collaborate with radiologists or physicians.
• Complete accurate documentation, manage RIS/PACS, and adhere to quality control and compliance standards.
• Support daily operations, maintain equipment, and participate in on-call duties.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• At least 2 years of hospital-based Radiologic Technologist and CT experience.
• Certifications: ARRT-R (Radiography), ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography), and BLS.
