Frontier Recruitment is partnering with an award-winning luxury destination property in Western Canada to find an exceptional Culinary Director to lead its culinary program.

This is a senior, hands-on leadership role for someone who genuinely loves the craft - exceptional ingredients, thoughtful seasonal cooking, developing talented chefs and creating memorable guest experiences.

Importantly, this opportunity has longer-term scope beyond the kitchen. We’re particularly interested in culinary leaders who are passionate about the complete guest dining experience and have the ability and ambition to broaden their leadership across both culinary and front-of-house operations.

The opportunity:

• Lead and develop a talented culinary team within a highly regarded luxury operation
• Oversee culinary strategy, standards, menu direction and operational performance
• Champion seasonal, ingredient-led cuisine with a strong focus on quality and sustainability
• Mentor and develop the next generation of culinary leaders
• Take ownership of budgeting, labour, purchasing, forecasting and overall culinary performance
• Work collaboratively as part of the property's senior leadership team
• Help shape the future direction of an established and highly respected culinary program

Who we're looking for:

• You’ll already be operating at Executive Chef, Executive Sous Chef, Culinary Director or similar senior level within a high-end restaurant, luxury hotel, resort or destination dining environment.
• We’re looking for someone who loves to lead from the floor and the kitchen, develops people exceptionally well, understands the numbers and still gets excited about incredible produce and creating something special.
• And perhaps most importantly - you need to genuinely want the lifestyle that comes with living and working in one of Western Canada's most beautiful coastal communities.

Salary: Competitive six figure salary

Relocation: Support available, including assistance with securing local accommodation
