About the Role:

A leading global technology company is looking for a Senior Data & AI Infrastructure Expert to work on next-generation infrastructure for LLMs, multimodal AI and AI Agents.

This is a core systems / R&D position for someone with strong experience in database systems, distributed systems, big data infrastructure or high-performance computing (HPC).

We are looking for engineers or researchers who have built core infrastructure technologies, rather than candidates focused mainly on application-level data engineering or AI applications.

What You’ll Work On:

• Design infrastructure for large-scale AI and multimodal data workloads
• Optimize resource scheduling across CPU, GPU and NPU environments
• Develop and optimize database, query, execution and storage technologies
• Build high-performance vector storage, indexing and retrieval capabilities
• Work on distributed storage and caching technologies
• Improve processing of large-scale text, image, video and unstructured data
• Develop infrastructure for cloud and serverless computing
• Explore AI4DB, LLM Agents and Data Agents to make data platforms more intelligent and autonomous

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong programming skills in C, C++, Python or Java
• Strong R&D or engineering background in at least one of:

• Database Systems
• Distributed Systems
• Big Data Systems
• High-Performance Computing (HPC)

• Experience with CPU/GPU/NPU computing and resource scheduling
• Experience developing or maintaining cloud computing platforms
• Understanding of DevOps and production engineering practices

Highly Relevant Experience

Experience with any of the following is a strong advantage:

• Query optimizers / execution engines
• Database or storage engines
• Distributed storage systems
• Vector databases and vector indexing
• High-performance search and retrieval
• Distributed caching
• Multimodal or unstructured data processing
• AI4DB
• LLM Agents / Data Agents
• LLM fine-tuning or reinforcement learning

Ideal Background:

We are particularly interested in Senior, Staff, Principal or Research-level engineers who have worked on core technologies such as database engines, distributed data platforms, HPC systems, vector retrieval systems or AI infrastructure.
