Versigent designs and delivers the systems that move power through modern technology. From vehicles to robotics to energy platforms, our electrical distribution systems enable the next generation of electrified, automated and connected products. As a standalone company, we combine deep engineering expertise with the speed and focus needed to solve increasingly complex challenges. Our teams move quickly, think with precision and deliver at scale — helping customers do more without adding cost, weight or complexity. What defines us is how we work: with the agility and momentum of a startup, backed by the experience and discipline of a proven global leader. That combination creates an environment where ideas move faster, ownership is real and impact is visible. Your Role: As a Design Release Engineering our team, you’ll Incorporate DFM/DFT principles into product designs to optimize manufacturability, assembly, and testing processes. Manage cost, mass, and timing targets for assigned projects, ensuring that design solutions meet budgetary constraints and project schedules. Conduct cost analysis, mass estimation, and timing planning throughout the design and development process to achieve project objectives. Implement and manage design changes in accordance with established change management processes and procedures. Utilize SolidWorks CAD software to create, modify, and analyze detailed engineering designs and models. Develop 3D models, assemblies, and drawings to communicate design concepts and specifications. Apply ANSYS simulation tools for finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) to evaluate product performance, structural integrity, and thermal behavior. Use Altium Designer for electronic circuit design, schematic capture, and PCB layout. Design and develop PCBs with consideration for electrical performance, signal integrity, and manufacturability. Employ Mentor Graphics Xpedition software for PCB layout, routing, and design validation. Manage design data, documentation, and revisions using Siemens Teamcenter PLM software. Utilize CATIA software for advanced 3D modeling, surface design, and mechanical engineering tasks. Your Background: 5+ years of design/development of vehicle Electrical Distribution Systems (EDS) wiring. Component release experience or strong wiring design experience is required. Analyze needs and product requirements to create a design. Ensure compliance with customer specific requirements Risk Management. Identify, mitigate, and escalate risk as required to complete objectives. Problem solving. Identifying design problems and reviewing all information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions. DFM. Drive closure to Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and product development issues with the customer. Continuous Improvement. Work with customer to accomplish continuous improvement targets such as warranty and cost reduction. Ensure Bill of Design (BOD) and Bill of Process (BOP) compliance. Manage relationship with engineering customer and be decisive interface for design and development of EDS wiring. Work with team members to establish cost/timing for changes and act as point of contact internally and with customer to report these back through customer change control meetings. Consider cost and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate. Provide onsite vehicle build support as required High voltage experience is a plus Local residents only, with the ability to work onsite in Troy, MI Must be legally able to work in the United States without requirement of any type of visa sponsorship or transfer now, or at any time in the future YOUR BENEFITS AT VERSIGENT: Private health care effective day 1 of employment Life and accident insurance Paid Time Off (Holidays, Vacation, Designated time off, Parental leave) Relocation assistance may be available Learning and development opportunities Discount programs with various manufacturers and retailers Recognition for innovation and excellence Opportunities to give back to the community Tuition Reimbursement Adoption Assistance Fertility Coverage Important Company Update – Please Read Before Applying.
