Development Team Lead

Come and push your journey to the next level! This role can be remote as a consultant or as an employee based in Malta. A taste of what you’ll do The Development Team Lead drives the design, implementation and delivery of full-stack solutions while leading, coaching, and mentoring a team of Software Engineers. This role requires excellent communication, leadership and software expertise and work within a fast-moving environment to deliver solutions that have broad business impact. Owning the design, implementation, and delivery of full-stack solutions Reporting on status of development, quality, and system performance Working closely with engineers to architect and develop the best technical design and approach. Hiring, coaching, and mentoring Software Engineers Designing, implementing, testing, and maintaining innovative software solutions Establishing and maintaining the use of software engineering best practices to ensure a high standard of quality for all team deliverables. Writing high quality distributed system software Contributing to the architecture and design of new and current systems Performing code reviews Collaborating with other teams and departments to gather and/or share information relating to team activities. Any other task/responsibility which may be related and/or connected to the role of Development Team Lead Knowledge, Experience & Skills: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent Considerable experience in a software development Leading experience and using Agile Development methodologies (facultative) Strong background in contributing to the architecture and designing new and current systems Possess working knowledge of Unix/Linux and object-oriented programming in PHP, Java or C# Strong software development qualities including the ability to drive creative and innovative solutions to complex problems, good technical judgment, clear communication, engagement, and teamwork; and can drive quality. Experience in fostering a culture of modern engineering practices Ability to demonstrate strong knowledge of MySQL, distributed revision-control tools, and modern JavaScript framework.
