Overview At Microsoft, our Cloud Operations + Innovation (CO+I) organization powers the infrastructure behind the world’s fastest-growing AI and cloud platforms. The Datacenter Integration (DCI) Procurement team plays a critical role in enabling predictable delivery of capacity across a rapidly expanding global datacenter portfolio. The role owns the operationalization of supplier capacity after strategic agreements are established—ensuring demand is translated into actionable forecasts, orders, production plans, delivery schedules, and installation readiness. This leader will provide end-to-end visibility across fiber and telecom supply, proactively managing supplier capacity and escalating delivery risks that could impact data center milestones. A key focus will be establishing and scaling the AMER fiber installation supply chain , creating an integrated model that connects material supply, installers, demand, and project execution. Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond. This role is located either in one or all hub locations - Atlanta, GA, Redmond, WA, San Antonio, TX or Phoenix, AZ. Relocation support will be provided, and successful candidates must relocate or reside within 50 miles of the hub office location. This role is eligible for hybrid or remote work. Responsibilities Supply & Capacity Execution: Translate long-range fiber and telecom demand and capacity agreements into executable supplier production, allocation, ordering, and delivery plans. Long-Range Capacity Planning: Maintain a forward-looking view of demand versus committed supplier capacity, ensuring capacity secured through strategic agreements is converted into supply when and where projects require it. Delivery & Escalation: Maintain visibility to critical fiber and telecom deliveries, identify supply constraints early, and lead supplier escalations and recovery plans to protect capacity milestones. AMER Installation Supply Chain: Stand up and scale the fiber installation supply chain across the Americas, developing the supplier ecosystem, capacity model, operating processes, and performance mechanisms required to support regional growth. End-to-End Fiber Operating Model: Lead the transition toward a more holistic fiber procurement model that integrates material demand, supplier capacity, installation requirements, project schedules, and inventory/redeployment opportunities across the portfolio. Supplier Execution: Establish operating rhythms with manufacturers, telecom suppliers, distributors, and installation partners to manage capacity, production, delivery, quality, and execution risks. Portfolio Integration: Partner with Planning, Engineering, Construction, regional procurement, and project teams to aggregate demand and translate project requirements into a portfolio-level connectivity supply plan. Performance & Visibility: Establish KPIs and executive visibility for capacity utilization, forecast accuracy, supplier readiness, delivery performance, installation capacity, and risks to DCI delivery.
