Oplu is leading the search for a Duty Manager (Nights) to join the management team at a distinguished luxury country hotel and retreat in West Dorset.
This is a hands-on operational leadership role with genuine breadth: Duty Manager site accountability, Finance and Governance, F&B operational support, Guest Relations coverage, Housekeeping set-up, Wellness operations, and lead responsibility for Emergency Action Procedures. On-site, 40 hours per week, with up to 3-4 night shifts per week.
Staff accommodation is available in nearby Bridport for candidates relocating.
The role
- Overnight Duty Manager on-call with primary lead on Emergency Action Procedures
- Competent Person under the property's Health & Safety Policy
- Late check-ins, early check-outs, wake-up calls, invoicing, payments
- F&B service support including Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
- Housekeeping set-up support and quality control
- Wellness cover as required
- Driving the company car for guest transfers and deliveries
- Financial governance, stock management, invoicing
The brief
- Prior duty management or senior hospitality operations experience at a boutique or luxury property
- APLH (Personal Licence Holder) qualification (or willingness to complete)
- Mews PMS proficiency (strongly preferred)
- First Aid, Fire Marshall, COSHH, Manual Handling
- Full driving licence and own car
- Willingness to work up to 3-4 night shifts per week
- Right to live and work in the UK
Strong advantage: WSET Level 2. Salto access system. Yacht interior or luxury villa background.
Compensation: Up to £40,000 gross p.a. + benefits. Staff accommodation available in nearby Bridport.
