What role you will play in our team ExxonMobil Canada is recruiting an Electrical Technician for employment on the Hebron platform. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the successful applicant will assist with the effective execution of maintenance programs and processes offshore in a safe and effective manner. Electrical Technician What you will do Responsibilities may include: Interacting with operations, maintenance and offshore groups to collaboratively address key technical areas and platform priorities Identify improvement opportunities and provide technical solutions Supporting the implementation, application and continuous improvement of electrical activities across the platform Maintaining integrity of all electrical equipment and systems Working with equipment such as: Electrical distribution system, switchgear & transformers, power generators, UPS systems, motors, heat trace & other small power requirements Applying and adhering to industry and regulatory codes applicable to the electrical field in an offshore environment Participating in Hebron and ExxonMobil platform safety programs Preferred Qualifications/ Experience Journeyperson inter-provincial trade certificate as an Industrial Electrician or Electrical Technologist qualification 5-10 years of related experience in oil/petrochemical industry (preferably offshore) Broad working knowledge of electrical equipment and machinery Familiarity in working with and using computerized maintenance management systems such as SAP Experience with operations and maintenance in the following areas: AC/DC drive systems, PLC controls, and high voltage/low voltage power generation and distribution systems.
