VicVet Emergency & Referral launched its purpose-built hospital in Whittlesea on April 3rd, 2026, forming part of an integrated, triple-tiered model delivering general practice, emergency & referral care and rehabilitation under one roof. As an ECC Veterinarian, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality emergency and critical care within a collaborative, well-supported team.

As an Emergency & Critical Care Veterinarian, you will:

• Provide high-quality emergency and critical care to a diverse caseload
• Work collaboratively with ECC nurses, vets, and the wider referral team
• Contribute to the development of clinical workflows and protocols
• Participate in a supportive and team-oriented environment
• Manage a mix of sole-charge and team-based shifts with strong support systems in place

Competitive Salary

• $120,000 – $180,000 + superannuation (commensurate with experience)

• Experience or a strong interest in emergency and critical care
• Confidence in managing urgent and complex cases
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to high standards of patient care and clinical excellence
• A veterinary degree registrable in Victoria (BVSc, DVM, or equivalent)
