Location Address: 1324 5th St N New Ulm, MN 56073-1514 Date Posted: August 04, 2026 Department: 43006502 Emergency Room Physicians Shift: Day/Night (United States of America) Shift Length: 12 hour shift Hours Per Week: 0 Union Contract: Non-Union-NCT Weekend Rotation: Alternative Weekend Plan Job Summary: Key Position Details: ED Highlights: Team of six ED physicians plus s trong support (full-time hospitalist coverage, four general surgeons, three ortho, three OB, two podiatrists, three pediatricians, psychiatry, CRNAs, etc.) 24/7 Access to system Service Lines (Mental Health,  Cardiology , Neurology, Pediatrics, etc.) 9 .5 K visits annually Eleven bed ED Experienced team of nurses and employed EMS Level IV Trauma Center, Stroke Ready Easy transfers to affiliated tertiary care hospital network Epic with dragon dictation Position Highlights: 1.5 hours from Twin Cities 12-hour shifts, flexible scheduling Ability to schedule straight day shifts and block schedule for commute needs Local house sharing options Express Care Clinic open daily and staffed by clinic providers Hospital employed model Straight hourly rate with 1.5x holiday pay Job Description: Provide patient care and immediate recognition, evaluation, care and stabilization of adult and pediatric patients Provide immediate decision-making and action necessary to prevent death or any further disability in the prehospital setting by directing emergency medical technicians and in the emergency department. Review patient medical history while collecting, prioritizing, and synthesizing comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation ​Evaluate, interpret, and coordinate information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care Provide education, consultation or intervention to patients (treatment plan) and their families Practice with consideration for cultural diversity, individual autonomy, and legal responsibilities ​Actively participate in multidisciplinary team approach to case management May provide care in an ambulatory clinic, inpatient or outpatient hospital setting Utilize quality improvement tools to develop processes that promote continuous improvement in the delivery of patient care, patient outcomes, or workflows Licenses/Certifications MD, DO, or foreign equivalency training required . Completion of 2 years emergency medicine residency, in good standing with residency and compliance with moonlighting regulations Active, non-restricted medical license in MN (or ability to obtain) Ability to obtain and/or maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI) Ability to meet criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and hospital privileges, if applicable ACLS/BLS ATLS or CALS PALS ​ Physical Demands Lifting weight up to 32 lbs. occasionally (*Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy), up to 25 lbs. frequently Pay Range Pay Range: $353,309 to $441,646 per year The pay described reflects the starting base pay range, assuming a full-time FTE. Your starting rate will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable).
