Engineer II /Senior Engineer (Highways & Roads)

Job Description Overview The Senior Highway Engineer will lead the design, coordination and delivery of highway engineering solutions for projects across the Middle East (ME) region. The role involves coordination with Lead Project Offices (LPO), technical reviews and ensuring compliance with applicable standards, quality requirements, client expectations, project schedules and budgets. The individual will also support project teams through technical guidance and mentoring of junior members of the team. Your role You will be an Engineer within the Middle East Highways/Land Development team carrying out the design and checking of a range of elements associated with highway projects. You will be responsible for: project based supervision of designers and drafting staff maintaining technical quality standards and mentoring junior designers delivering projects to time and budget liaising with ME based customers in a responsive and client focused manner The Individual The successful candidate will needs to: Be highly self-motivated and ambitious Have a track record of technical achievement and client satisfaction within the highways and bridges industry Be able to work with minimal supervision Have the ability to adapt to different cultures and working environments to build rapport with customers Be able to build excellent working relationships with colleagues and clients Have the experience of using written and spoken English within a business environment About you Qualified Degree in Civil Engineering from a reputed College Have relevant experience in the region of around 7 to 10 years in consultancy business working on highways and related features Experienced user of Civil3D/ Open Roads, MX design, AutoCAD Knowledge in highways design codes and standards. (KSA/Qatar/UAE/DMRB/AASHTHO) Experience implementing quality standards and procedures A very good knowledge of working in all applications of MS Office. Good verbal and written communication skills. Evidence of having successfully delivered highway projects Holds a Masters Degree in a relevant discipline Expert in the use of Civil3D, Open Roads road design software and AutoCAD Experience of using AutoDesk Civils 3D for the design of highway schemes Experience of the design of grade separated junctions Experience of the design of pipe drainage networks Working knowledge of KSA/Qatar/UAE/DMRB/AASHTHO Desirable Holds a Master’s Degree in a relevant discipline Expert in the use of Civil3D ,Open Roads road design software and AutoCAD Experience of using Autodesk Civils 3D for the design of highway schemes Experience of the design of road networks of various functionalities including local roads, Boulevard roads, arterial roads and expressway/freeway. Also, should be proficient in design of at grade junctions including roundabouts and signalised intersections and grade separated intersections.
