English Language Acquisition Teacher

We are looking for an English Language Acquisition Teacher for an International school located in Guangzhou. This position is available from the upcoming 2026-2027 academic year in August 2026 start. Job Responsibilities Deliver engaging English Language Acquisition lessons within the IB MYP framework across appropriate phases. Plan a coherent language programme aligned with MYP objectives, integrating ATL skills, inquiry, and authentic contexts. Differentiate instruction for diverse proficiency levels, using strategies for EAL learners and targeted language goals (listening, speaking, reading, writing). Use formative and summative assessments aligned to MYP criteria to monitor progress; maintain clear records and provide timely feedback. Collaborate with local teachers and the wider academic team on unit planning, vertical and horizontal alignment, and whole-school events. Support students’ literacy across the curriculum and promote academic language for other subject areas. Communicate regularly with parents on progress, targets, and strategies for home support. Bachelor’s degree in English, Applied Linguistics, Education, or related field Two or more years of teaching experience, preferably with secondary/middle school learners IB MYP Language Acquisition experience preferred; training or certification in IB programmes an advantage Monthly salary of 25,000 to 30,000 RMB commensurate with experience and qualifications Relocation allowance of 2,000 RMB Annual flight allowance of up to 10,000 RMB Work Visa provided Summer and winter holidays National holidays Medical insurance Lunch and shuttle bus provided by the school Laptop provided by the school
