Overview Location: 3/2 Hybrid; Office located in Greentree/Pittsburgh, PA - RELOCATION ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE Job Type: Full-time with excellent benefits Work Authorization: U.S. Citizen or Green Card The A.C.Coy Company is assisting a local Client in their search for an Environmental/Chemical Engineer . This individual will play a meaningful role in the design and execution of complex water remediation and wastewater treatment projects, including proposal generation, project management, client interaction, and technical leadership. Our ideal candidate will have 10+ years of professional experience in Environmental Engineering with a strong emphasis on groundwater treatment, remediation, and chemistry. Very minimal travel is required. Responsibilities Support the design of water and wastewater treatment strategies for site remediation projects Manage projects including investigations, treatability studies, remedy design and remedy implementation Complete human health risk assessments Perform chemical fate and transport analysis Oversee statistical evaluation of chemical analytical results Assist with environmental projects administered under CERCLA, RCRA and a variety of state voluntary programs Support PFAS treatment projects, including treatment evaluation, pilot studies, and regulatory considerations Interface with state and federal regulatory agencies, and prepare permit applications and compliance documentation Prepare and review technical reports, permit applications and remediation documents Support project planning, scheduling, and budget management, with increasing responsibility as appropriate Serve as a technical resource and mentor to junior engineers and staff Participate in business development activities, including proposal preparation and client support Qualifications Required: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental Science, or a related field 10+ years of professional experience with a strong emphasis on water and wastewater treatment 5+ years of professional experience in the remediation and development of contaminated industrial sites Strong expertise with permitting and state and federal environmental regulatory programs Excellent communication skills and an ability to work collaboratively with clients and team members Valid driver’s license Ability to travel 5-10% of the time for client meetings Preferred: Pennsylvania P.E. license strongly preferred Previous experience managing large remediation projects, ideally brownfield remediation and redevelopment A strong Chemistry background and specific experience with PFAS treatment projects
