Full Job Description
You will join an established mechanical services business in a technical HVAC Estimator role, supporting the delivery of commercial projects from initial enquiry through to tender. You will use your mechanical knowledge to interpret drawings, complete take-offs and develop practical solutions across HVAC, piping and ductwork.
You will suit this opportunity if you have a strong technical background in HVAC and are looking to build on experience gained through estimating, project management or working in the trade. You will be confident using computer-based systems, technically minded and comfortable working with clients, suppliers and internal teams. This is an office-based role, with relocation support available for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete detailed take-offs for HVAC and mechanical works
- Review drawings, piping and ductwork requirements
- Prepare accurate estimates and costings for projects
- Interpret technical documentation and identify project requirements
- Liaise with internal teams to clarify scope and pricing
- Use computer-based systems to manage estimating activities
- Apply practical mechanical knowledge to estimating and project planning
About you
- Mechanical background with strong HVAC knowledge
- Proven estimating capability across mechanical services
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Practical understanding of piping and ductwork
- IT savvy with confidence using computer-based systems
- Technical mindset with strong attention to detail
- Experience in project management or a hands-on mechanical role
