Telespazio Belgium has an on‑site service at ESTEC in the Netherlands, and we will be soon looking for a highly skilled ExPeRT Early Phase Studies System Engineering and Payload Support Engineer to work there. Candidates must be eligible for a security personal clearance from an EU Member State national security administration What is expected from you: Coordinate and run payload level assessments and studies. Payloads that are scientifically focused, exploration focused and/or infrastructure focused are included. Support the concurrent design facility (CDF) study preparation process and support of the CDF studies in the development of payload concepts. Coordinate periodical meetings and teleconferences to monitor and control payload related activities of interfacing directorates (e.g. TEC, OPS, STS), study team members and industrial study teams. Preparing and providing payload interface support to the Mission Definition Review, and Phase A and B1 reviews, and participate in meetings and technical workshops as agreed by the Study Manager. Maintain payload engineering and interface baseline(s). Define analyse and maintain payload and payload interface requirements and requirements documents and communicating system level impacts originating from the payload. Supervise and support the functional analysis process for payload development and related tasks, including MBSE activitie Support and liaise with the relevant Science Office on their provision of the science traceability matrix and science requirements documentation. Maintain and update for approval payload description document (PDD) and payload related requirements documentation for Payloads specifically assigned to the service contractor. Support and liaise with a range of Payload Engineers on their provision of the payload description document (PDD) and payload related requirements documentation. Support to the RAMS and FDIR process and related tasks, including maintenance of the payload redundancy concepts. Support mission analysis as related to the payloads. Support the process of defining, monitoring, and controlling critical technology development activities. Disseminate results and outcomes from activities Support and participate in technical meetings and collocations Co-ordinate early phase mission concept studies including preparation, organisation and oversight of the ESA internal study work and Concurrent Design Facility (CDF) studies Provide reporting of mission study status to the ESA Exploration Study Lead(s) Provide system engineering support to early phase studies undertaken by industry Co-ordinate technology development activities associated to the assigned study area, including monitoring of ongoing TEC activities, inputs to HRE Directorate technology roadmaps, preparation of funding proposals and liaison with D/TEC experts Coordinate periodic systems engineering and technical meetings and teleconferences for the monitoring and control of activities with interfacing Directorates (e.g. D/TEC, D/OPS and D/STS), of study team members (e.g. D/HRE science and payload teams) and with industrial consortia. Prepare and provide systems engineering support for Mission Definition Review, Phase A and B1 reviews and participation in meetings and technical workshops as required Supervise and support the functional analysis process (including MBSE) on early phase studies Co-ordinate the RAMS and FDIR process, including maintenance of the system redundancy concepts Maintain engineering baseline(s).
