Fabrication Specialist Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently seeking a Fabrication Specialist to join our Interiors Responsibility Team in Ladson, South Carolina on Variable shift! This role offers an exciting opportunity within a dynamic manufacturing environment. Team members will leverage their prior experience, and the knowledge gained from training and certifications to complete daily assigned tasks effectively. Position Responsibilities: Perform machine set-up and fabrication tasks Perform composite lay-up, fabrication, and assembly tasks Assemble precision mechanical and electro-mechanical components Assemble and install wire harnesses and avionics products Prepare test articles, fixtures, and data collection devices to perform various tests Perform basic organic chemical conversion and paint preparation Apply routine organic coatings for corrosion protection and appearance requirements Work on articles of limited complexity following established drawings and requirements This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Ladson, SC. Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Ability to work variable shifts, with the understanding that your assigned shift will not be confirmed until after training 1+ year experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or assembly processes and procedures 1+ year of experience using software applications for internet navigation, email, Microsoft Suite and/or other specialized computer applications 1+ year of experience following detailed work instructions, reading, and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications Ability to walk constantly throughout the workday; stand 6-8 hours per day; climb or work from stairs/steps up to 8 hours per day; climb ladders; bend and twist frequently up to six hours per day; squat and kneel Ability to lift 35-40 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift Ability to work with High Hazard Chemicals.
