Role: Principal FPGA DSP Engineer

We are currently looking for an experienced Principal FPGA DSP Engineer to join a leading UAE-based defence and space technology organisation working on advanced MODEM, wireless communications, DSP and secure communication systems.

This is a highly technical role suited to an engineer who has strong hands-on experience in FPGA/RTL development combined with digital communications, MODEM/baseband, receivers and DSP.

🔹 What You'll Be Working On

The role will involve the design, development and integration of FPGA-based communication systems, including:

• MODEM and baseband architecture
• Digital transmitter and receiver development
• Real-time DSP and signal-processing algorithms
• Wireless communication systems and PHY-layer implementation
• MIMO systems and receiver processing
• DVB / DVB-S / DVB-S2 and related digital communication technologies
• RCS / RCS2 and satellite communication technologies
• SDR and software-defined communication architectures
• FPGA implementation of communication algorithms and waveforms
• High-speed digital data paths and hardware/software integration
• FPGA system integration, verification, debugging and hardware bring-up
• Timing closure, performance optimisation and resource optimisation
• Development of solutions for mission-critical defence and space applications

Experience with MODEM + DSP + receiver + wireless communications is particularly important.

Candidates should have genuine hands-on experience in FPGA-based communications/DSP.

A profile focused only on:

• Generic FPGA/RTL
• ASIC design
• AI/ML acceleration
• Image/video processing
• Networking/IP infrastructure
• General embedded systems

without meaningful MODEM, receiver, wireless communications or communications DSP experience is unlikely to be suitable.
