Role Overview:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Officer to support the day-to-day finance and accounting activities of our client's Dubai entity.

This is a standalone accounting role, requiring an individual who is comfortable working independently, taking ownership of daily finance operations, and coordinating closely with the Group Finance team at headquarters.

The role will cover accounting, tax compliance, financial reporting, and audit coordination, while ensuring alignment with Group Finance guidelines, policies, and reporting requirements.

About the Employer:

Our client is a ship-owning company within the shipping industry, with global operations. The Dubai office serves as a regional subsidiary, operating under the guidance and policies of the Group Finance team at headquarters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage full-cycle accounting for the Dubai entity (AP, AR, GL, reconciliations).
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in line with Group requirements.
• Handle UAE VAT and Corporate Tax compliance, ensure compliance with UAE VAT and CT regulations, including the preparation and submission of relevant returns and coordination with Group Finance and external advisors where required.
• Liaise with external auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities.
• Coordinate with the Group Finance team and ensure compliance with HQ policies and procedures.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis as required by HQ.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely reporting.
• Assist in ERP/system usage and ensure data accuracy.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Accounting, or another closely related discipline. A relevant degree is a mandatroy requirement.
• Minimum 1 year of UAE experience in a finance or accounting role.
• Good knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations.
• Fluent in Chinese and English.

Salary & Benefits: monthly salary is negotiable + employment visa & medical insurance + 30 days paid annual leave & return air tickets + 2 days off per week.
