Financial Analyst (Experienced or Lead) Company: The Boeing Company The Boeing Company is in search of a dynamic and talented Experienced or Lead Financial Analyst to join the Financial Analysis Satellites Mobile User Objective System (MUOS) team in El Segundo, CA o r Mesa, AZ. El Segundo is the preferred location. Either position will be considered a Lead – leading a team of 5 analysts. The Lead requires some prior project or team leadership experience; the Experienced does not. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a world-class finance team that plays a crucial role in guiding business decisions and supporting key operations for the world's leading aerospace company. In this role you will: Lead day-to-day statement of work and deliverables for the KC-46 Tankers FA Defense program team Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze financial data Conduct financial analysis and reporting to support strategic business decisions Provide insights and recommendations based on financial performance metrics Contribute to the development of financial models and forecasts Engage in cost analysis and optimization efforts Position Responsibilities: Drives day-to-day statement of work and deliverables execution Manages the statement of work assignments Initiates assignments and integrates analysis of resource forecasts and/or Estimates at Completion (EACs) for control accounts, budgets, functions or pools; financial EACs for contracts or programs Develops, reviews, analyzes and maintains cost and/or schedule performance measurement baselines, in some cases leverages earned value management practices, and supports variance analyses and communicates cost and/or schedule trends Develops performance reports. Integrates variance analyses and provides understanding of operational and financial performance to senior management Makes recommendations to senior management on financial performance projections using financial and business knowledge and experience Trains and mentors junior analysts Supports process improvement initiatives, communicates the need for change to stakeholders and acts as a finance representative lead for cross-business/Center of Expertise (COE) engagements Analyzes key performance indictors to improve process cycle time, quality, and timeliness Completes peer reviews Exhibits a positive attitude and willingness to serve as a change agent This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Currently have a Bachelor’s degree or higher 3+ years of experience in a business-related function (including but not limited to: Finance, Contracts, Estimating, Procurement Financial Analysis, Business Operations, Supplier Management) 3+ years of work experience with the Microsoft Excel application using: formulas, VLookups, pivot tables, charts, filters, and linking worksheets Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) Experience with performing Estimates at Completion (EAC) Experience working with large data sets in Excel Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Level 4: 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience Experience in leading teams or projects formally or informally Experience using BEST (Budgeting, Execution, Strategy and Tracking) Planner or Cost, Schedule, Planning and Reporting (CSPR) Ability to identify process improvements in Value Stream Mappings and other process reviews Project management skills and the ability to work multiple projects simultaneously Experience working in a challenging, fast-paced, geo-diverse team environment Experience utilizing Microsoft Office Products for financial modeling and analysis Experience using strong verbal and written communication skills both virtually and in person Adaptability to rapidly changing environments and ability to meet deliverables Conflict of Interest: Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.
