Position: Finishing Carpenter

Reporting To: Maintenance Manager

Main Responsibilities

* Carry out finishing carpentry and final-touch woodwork.

* Repair and modify existing wooden items.

* Repair furniture, doors, fixtures and decorative wooden elements.

* Carry out installation and fixing of wooden items as required.

* Perform wood preparation, finishing, painting and touch-up work.

* Make minor modifications to existing woodwork when required.

* Ensure a high standard of finishing and workmanship at the facilities.

Specific Candidate Requirements

We specifically require a finishing carpenter.

The candidate should have practical experience in:

* Fine wood finishing and final touches.

* Wood repairs and modifications.

* Furniture and fixture repairs.

* Installation and fixing.

* Painting, finishing and touch-up of woodwork.

Candidates whose experience is mainly shuttering, formwork or structural/construction carpentry should not be shortlisted.

Practical ability and quality of finishing are more important than the number of years of experience.

Salary & Benefits

* AED 1,500/month during probation.

* AED 1,800/month after successful probation.

* Salary can increase up to AED 2,000/month based on performance.

* Company accommodation provided.

* Company visa will be provided after successful completion of the initial 15-day testing period.

Interview & Selection Process

* This position requires a hands-on practical assessment.

* Shortlisted candidates will attend a site visit and demonstrate their carpentry skills directly to the team.

* The assessment should include actual finishing, repair or modification work.

* Selection will be based primarily on demonstrated workmanship and finishing quality.

* The first 15 days will also be used to assess actual performance.

* If performance is satisfactory, the company will proceed with the visa and employment.
