We have an exciting opportunity for a Fitter / Fitter Armourer to join our collaborative and hardworking Defence Maintenance Contract team based in Amberley , QLD. What's On Offer Hourly rate: $46.09 + Super Full-time role working 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday. (Finish at 12 pm on Fridays!) About the role As a Fitter /Fitter Armourer, you will use your highly detailed workmanship to inspect, repair, and recondition military hardware. It will be your responsibility to provide direct embedded support and teamwork with Defence and Defence training activities to ensure hardware is functional and training objectives are achieved. Perform maintenance, servicing, repairs, and preventative maintenance Safely operate machinery to repair, manufacture or modify required parts Certify plant and equipment as serviceable and fit for purpose Ability to travel as required for training and upskilling Provide occasional support to various Defence Bases across the state assisting with maintenance. All travel, accommodation and Food paid for! About you Possess a recognised Fitter and Turner Trade or Certificate III in Engineering Mechanical or equivalent Experience with small engines and hydraulic equipment (rock breakers, power packs, etc.) Strong aptitude for technology and computer-based systems MR or HR License - Desirable Physically fit and enjoy hands-on work Must be an Australian citizen and able to maintain a Defence Security Clearance About Ventia As a leading services provider, we maintain, operate, and manage the essential infrastructure that makes modern life possible across Australia and New Zealand.
