Comp: $180k-250k base DOE and excellent equity

My client is a stealth AI startup and they are looking for a Founding Engineer with 3-8 years of experience to join a small, high-velocity team building multi-modal AI agents (voice, SMS, email) for a massive untapped market.

You'll own an entire domain end-to-end at a company that hit impressive ARR in 5 months. They need someone with strong product sense who thrives in ambiguity, makes great decisions without a PM, and is energized by shipping features daily in-person alongside a tight-knit team in Chelsea, NYC.

This is a true founding seat with optionality to grow into leadership or stay deep on the IC track.

What will you be doing?

• Owning one of four core domains end-to-end: B2B product (business OS), agent layer (voice/SMS/email quality), family graph (backend data structures + AI), or B2C consumer product (0-to-1)
• Making product decisions directly: joining customer calls, synthesizing feedback, and shipping features without a PM
• Building and optimizing multi-modal agents with sub-500ms voice latency, best-in-class SMS response rates, and long-running conversation state across channels
• Driving the architecture and quality bar for non-deterministic systems including evals, prompt versioning, guardrails, and drift detection
• Working full-stack from React/Next.js frontends to Node.js backends and Python voice services, shipping to production daily
