The role
This company builds AI agents that make strategic decisions for $1B+ revenue manufacturers, automating complex operations like procurement and inventory. Their product combines mathematical optimization, agent-based reasoning, and a new ERP interface, already saving customers millions. They are recently funded by leading VCs and founders from top tech companies, with a talent-dense team from elite academic backgrounds in robotics, ML, and engineering.
As a Founding Full-Stack Engineer, you will be the architect of this decision intelligence, owning the algorithms, architecture, and infrastructure. This is a backend- and infra-heavy role with full feature ownership, including the frontend. You will work directly with customers, not through a product manager, building the foundational systems for a team that plans to double in size this year.
The work
- Design and build the core algorithms, architecture, and infrastructure for AI agents that automate strategic manufacturing decisions.
- Own features end-to-end, from backend systems and infrastructure to customer-facing frontend components.
- Work directly with $1B+ revenue manufacturing customers to understand their needs and deploy solutions.
- Build scalable, data-intensive, multi-tenant production systems using modern data technologies.
- Lay the foundational engineering systems for a rapidly growing team, setting the standard for future hires.
What You Bring
- Proven experience shipping production code end-to-end, with a strong backend and infrastructure focus, plus comfort building frontend features.
- Experience building data-intensive, multi-tenant production systems using Postgres, Redis, and an orchestration framework.
- A deep interest in building scalable, interpretable, data-driven agents across algorithms, architecture, and infrastructure.
- Strong product sense and a desire to work directly with customers daily.
- You are an early-career engineer (0-5 years post-university) with a track record of shipping production systems.
- Willingness to work onsite in San Francisco on a 996 schedule. Visa and relocation support available.
