Technology is no longer the limiting factor for automating knowledge work. Deployment is. A frontier lab ships a capability, and 18 months later a handful of Fortune 500s have it in production and everyone else has a pilot. The gap isn't model quality. It's that deploying AI into a real business means learning a workflow nobody wrote down, integrating with software from 2003, and hitting a reliability bar the model alone doesn't meet. Ventura closes the deployment gap for industrial operations, as a configurable product, not a consulting engagement. We started with one product: quoting and order entry for industrial distributors. We're live with customers doing billions in revenue, moving thousands of truckloads of material across the U.S. every day. Those customers are already asking us to automate the next five processes. We've grown from zero to profitability and are now building the team to go much bigger. We work together in person in San Francisco, five days a week. Founders Swen (CEO): exited a B2B SaaS in the same industry, ex-BCG, Harvard MS/MBA. Jack (CTO): founding engineer at Develop Health (0 → $7m ARR with 5 people), creator of Magentic , Imperial College London. The role This is our first dedicated go-to-market hire. You'll work hand in hand with Swen to figure out how Ventura goes from founder-led sales to a repeatable GTM machine. You'll start as a doer: making cold calls, writing emails, running campaigns, working trade shows, and flying to Ohio when that's what it takes to win or retain a customer. Then you'll become an architect: figuring out which messages, channels, and processes actually work; building systems around them; and eventually hiring and leading the team that scales them. If you're exceptional, the path is to build and lead Ventura's GTM organization. We're not necessarily looking for a long GTM résumé. We're looking for a hungry, high-potential person who can sell, write, learn fast, and wants an unreasonable amount of responsibility early in their career. Problems you'll get to solve Figure out the smartest ways to get Ventura in front of executives at industrial companies, through outbound, cold calls, events, partnerships, and channels we haven't thought of yet. Personally generate pipeline. Write the emails, make the calls, run the campaigns, work the trade shows, and test new ideas. Learn which companies we win with, why they buy, what messaging resonates, and turn those insights into a repeatable acquisition playbook. Build AI systems across the GTM stack, from account research and personalization to campaign execution and sales intelligence. Turn what works into infrastructure and processes that the next ten GTM hires can run. Work directly with the founders on whatever will help us win customers and grow faster. Your first three months with us Week one: Get immersed in the market. Join customer and prospect calls, learn how industrial distributors operate, and understand why customers buy Ventura. Month one: Start generating pipeline yourself. Build target lists, launch campaigns, make cold calls, test messaging, and use AI aggressively to increase your output. Quarter one: Know our customers and market cold. Have found messaging and channels that work, systematized pieces of the motion with AI, and started teaching our first SDRs the playbook you've built. You Strong communicator. You write and speak clearly and succinctly. You've convinced people of your ideas (or sold things) in the past. High agency. You don't wait for someone to tell you what to do. You've probably started a company, organized something from scratch, built a side project, or otherwise created momentum where none existed. Execution first. You'd rather pick up the phone and learn something today than spend a week analyzing what might happen. You do whatever moves the needle. Fast learner. You absorb new industries, products, and problems unusually quickly. Technical enough & AI-native. You use AI to automate your own work. You've probably built automations, written skills, or created small apps with AI - not because someone asked you to, but because it made you more effective. Exceptional ability. We have a very high talent bar. You learn unusually fast, reason from first principles, and have a track record of being exceptionally good at hard things. The specific evidence can vary: academics, work, building something from scratch, competitive achievements - but we expect clear signs of unusual ability. Why join us? Trajectory. This is a chance to join as the first GTM hire and earn your way into building and leading the function. Impact. You'll work on the company's highest-leverage problems directly with the founders. Growth. There is no artificial ceiling on your responsibility. Bite off as much as you can chew. Equity. You'll play a key role in what we build and get a meaningful share in the upside. AI-native. You'll have an unlimited token budget. We're probably among the top 1% of companies in AI usage per employee. We work today how we think most companies will work in 2028. We support visa sponsorship and relocation to San Francisco. We’ll help with anything that prevents you from doing your best work.
