Software Engineer – AI-Native Fintech
Location: Seattle, WA — 5 days/week onsite
Compensation: $140K–$220K base + 0.02%–0.25% equity

About the Opportunity
We're partnering with a fast-growing AI startup building the AI-native operating system for institutional capital. Their platform helps investment teams at organizations like universities, hospitals, retirement systems, and wealth managers replace highly manual reporting, analysis, and reconciliation workflows with AI-powered automation.
This is an opportunity to join a small, highly technical team where engineers have significant ownership and work directly with the customers using what they build. You'll work across the entire product—from systems that understand hundreds of thousands of financial documents to AI agents capable of turning a client's request into a finished report.
The company has approximately $1M in ARR with zero customer churn and is building a product that is already delivering significant efficiency gains for its customers.
What You'll Do
- Own features and products end-to-end across backend, frontend, infrastructure, and AI
- Build and improve AI agents that perform complex analysis and knowledge work
- Develop systems that process and understand large volumes of financial documents and institutional data
- Work directly with customers to understand problems and rapidly turn them into production solutions
- Make key technical and product decisions in a highly autonomous engineering environment
- Use AI extensively throughout the development process to move from idea to production quickly
- Take responsibility for the quality and performance of what you ship
What We're Looking For
- 5–10 years of full-stack software engineering experience
- Experience owning and shipping production software end-to-end
- Strong technical judgment and problem-solving ability
- High level of ownership, initiative, and personal accountability
- Comfortable working through ambiguous problems without a detailed roadmap
- Ability to move quickly while maintaining high standards
- Interest in working closely with customers and seeing your work used in production
- Excited about AI-native software development and using AI as a core part of the engineering process
Tech Stack: Python, React, TypeScript, AWS, PostgreSQL, MongoDB
A specific technology background or previous finance experience is not required. The team prioritizes raw technical ability, judgment, work ethic, and ownership over checking every box on a traditional tech-stack list.

Base Salary: $140K–$220K

Location: Westlake, Seattle, WA
Schedule: Full-time, 5 days/week onsite
Core Office Hours: 9 AM–6 PM
Visa: Open to visa transfers, including OPT and H-1B transfers
