Hiring Range: $375,000 to $450,000 Please note that the final offer may vary within this range based on a candidate's experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity considerations Location: Leominster, MA Facility: UMass Memorial Health – Health Alliance Hospital Department: Surgery Specialty: General Surgery Schedule: Full Time The Department of Surgery at UMass Memorial Health and UMass Chan Medical School is seeking a General Surgeon to join our growing team at Health Alliance Hospital in Leominster, Massachusetts. Health Alliance Hospital is part of UMass Memorial Health's five-hospital system and serves a vital regional role in North Worcester County. This is an exciting opportunity for a surgeon with strong laparoscopic and robotic surgery skills who is interested in developing a regional referral hub for minimally invasive surgery while building a robust general surgery practice. A da Vinci robotic platform is being acquired to support the growth of robotic and minimally invasive surgical services. Key Highlights Faculty appointment through UMass Chan Medical School Join an established and collaborative Department of Surgery within a large academic health system Practice at a community-based hospital with strong local demand and referral opportunities Access to a broad referral network across UMass Memorial Health's five-hospital system Strong administrative, clinical, and operational support Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered surgical care Clinical Responsibilities Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient general surgery services Perform a broad range of open, laparoscopic, and robotic surgical procedures Collaborate with multidisciplinary specialists across UMass Memorial Health Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives Qualifications Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery Strong laparoscopic surgical skills required Robotic surgery experience and interest in program development preferred Interest in academic medicine, teaching, and mentorship MD or DO degree and eligible for Massachusetts medical licensure Demonstrated commitment to clinical excellence, teamwork, and patient-centered care Top Tier Benefits to Reflect Your Value and Needs Employer-funded retirement contributions of 8% of base salary with additional retirement plan options Tuition reimbursement, student loan forgiveness support, and PSLF‑eligible employment Concierge services for relocation to include special mortgage promotions Professional liability insurance coverage of $5 million per claim and $10 million aggregate Organization-wide commitment to formal Clinician Wellness Program About Leominster, Massachusetts Located in North Central Massachusetts, Leominster offers a family-friendly community with easy access to Worcester, Boston, New Hampshire, and southern New England.
