Job Overview: German-Speaking E-Commerce Client Specialist Location: In-office position based in Umhlanga, Durban Base Compensation: R24,000 monthly Working Hours: 5-day work week on a continuous 24/7 rotational schedule (8-hour shifts) Position Summary We are seeking fluent German speakers dedicated to delivering top-tier customer care for a major global e-commerce brand. Operating from our Umhlanga office, you will serve as the primary link for shoppers, guiding them through order inquiries, shipping updates, payment processing, and general product details. Core Responsibilities Omnichannel Communication: Address customer queries across phone, live chat, and email in both German and English. Order Resolution: Help clients monitor shipments, process returns, and handle delivery issues. Issue Escalation: Apply empathy and critical thinking to resolve client complaints effectively. Product Knowledge: Maintain a deep understanding of current retail inventory to offer accurate guidance. System Documentation: Log all customer touchpoints accurately within the CRM software. Performance Metrics: Continuously hit targeted key performance indicators, focusing on CSAT and quality scores. Candidate Profile Languages: Strong German fluency (minimum B2 level, spoken and written) combined with excellent business English skills. Education: High school diploma (Matric equivalent) minimum. Availability: Willingness to work irregular hours, including night shifts, weekends, and statutory holidays. Tech Savviness: Adaptable computer skills with the ability to manage multiple software tools at once.
