We have an exciting opportunity for a Global Industrial Hygiene Leader to join our Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) organization in Johnston IA. In this role, you will serve as the global Industrial Hygiene subject matter expert supporting Vylor. You will lead the strategy, governance, and continuous improvement of Industrial Hygiene programs across seed production sites, seed conditioning facilities, seed treatment operations, research laboratories, warehouses, field research stations, and commercial seed activities around the world. As the Global Industrial Hygiene Leader, you will work across regions and functions to identify, evaluate, and control occupational health risks while supporting operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and Vylor's commitment to protecting employees, contractors, and communities. VISA Sponsorship is not available for this position. Relocation assistance is available for this position. The option to work remotely either part-time or full-time, may be considered for the selected candidate. What You'll Do: Develop and execute the global Industrial Hygiene strategy for Vylor. Establish, maintain, and improve Industrial Hygiene standards, procedures, and technical guidance. Provide expert guidance on exposure assessment and control strategies related to but not limited to: Seed treatment active ingredients Dust exposure and dust control systems Respiratory hazards Noise exposure Chemical handling and storage Laboratory hazards Indoor air quality Ergonomic risks Lead global exposure assessment programs including industrial hygiene monitoring, exposure characterization, and health risk evaluations. Oversee occupational exposure limits (OELs), exposure assessment methodologies, and health protection requirements. Partner closely with Product Safety, Regulatory, Engineering, Biosafety, Occupational Health, Production, and R&D organizations. Provide Industrial Hygiene support for capital projects, facility design reviews, equipment installations, and process changes. Evaluate and recommend engineering controls, administrative controls, and personal protective equipment strategies to reduce occupational health risks. Lead investigations and technical reviews involving occupational exposure concerns or potential health-related incidents. Support regulatory inspections, compliance assessments, and EHS audits. Monitor emerging scientific research, regulatory developments, and industry best practices related to agricultural and seed industry health hazards. Develop Industrial Hygiene competency across the organization through mentoring, training, and technical consultation. Build strong partnerships with regional EHS teams and support implementation of global programs at the site level. Education: Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health, Environmental Health, Toxicology, Chemistry, Engineering, Public Health, or a related scientific discipline. What Skills You Need: Minimum of 10 years of Industrial Hygiene experience in manufacturing, agriculture, life sciences, seed production, or related industries. Demonstrated expertise in occupational exposure assessment and control. Strong knowledge of Industrial Hygiene principles, occupational toxicology, ventilation systems, respiratory protection, and health risk management. Experience managing chemical and particulate exposure programs. Working knowledge of global occupational health regulations and standards. Experience supporting field operations, manufacturing environments, laboratories, and research facilities. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capability to evaluate complex occupational health risks. Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills. Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior business leaders. Experience leading global or multi-regional programs. Willingness and ability to travel globally as business needs require. What Makes You Stand Out: Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) certification. Advanced degree in Industrial Hygiene, Toxicology, Occupational Health, Engineering, or related field. Experience supporting agricultural, seed, biotechnology, or research operations. Expertise with pesticide exposure assessments and agricultural worker protection programs. Experience managing respiratory protection and exposure monitoring programs across diverse operations. Strong understanding of seed treatment processes, ventilation systems, dust management, and occupational exposure controls. Experience supporting research laboratories and field research activities. Demonstrated success developing global Industrial Hygiene strategies and competency programs. Participation in professional organizations such as AIHA, ACGIH, or comparable international occupational health organizations.
