Oversee all people management responsibilities, including hiring, development, coaching, performance management, compensation, and disciplinary matters. Ensure effective resource and vacation planning to support uninterrupted production and operational requirements. Drive communication, collaboration, and continuous improvement by promoting the Lonza culture and ensuring alignment between management and operational teams. Act as Engineering Lead for capital investment projects, providing utility-related expertise and supporting facility design, construction, and commissioning. Define and implement maintenance strategies, standards, and changeover concepts to maximize plant reliability, availability, and cost efficiency. Manage engineering, maintenance, utility, CAPEX, and operational budgets while driving innovation, cost reductions, and cross-functional collaboration within the Manufacturing Leadership Team. What we are looking for: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related technical discipline. 10+ years of experience in engineering and maintenance leadership, preferably within the biopharmaceutical or highly regulated manufacturing industry. Proven experience leading engineering activities and supporting large-scale CAPEX projects from design through commissioning. Strong knowledge of GMP requirements and familiarity with engineering and maintenance systems such as COMOS and SAP. Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to build, develop, and inspire high-performing multidisciplinary teams. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across manufacturing, quality, engineering, and project organizations. Structured, organized, and solution-oriented mindset with a focus on operational excellence and continuous improvement.
