About the company: Your role: As Head of Producing, you are the driving force behind all production activities at Aesir Interactive. You lead a passionate team of Producers and Project Managers across multiple projects, ensuring our games are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. In this senior leadership role, you are responsible for the strategic and operational development of the Production Department, aligning workflows, resources, and priorities with Aesir’s long-term vision. You collaborate closely with the Chief Production Officer (CPO) and studio leadership to define production culture, establish best practices, and empower your teams to operate with excellence and clarity. You combine entrepreneurial thinking, structured leadership, and a strong execution mindset. You bring well-defined plans, know how to explain them in detail, and ensure they are executed effectively, without unnecessary meta-discussion. Your focus lies on building robust production pipelines and processes that drive consistent delivery across all projects. Main responsibilities Strategic Leadership Define and execute the production strategy in alignment with Aesir’s studio vision and CPO directives Establish clear departmental goals, KPIs, and success metrics across all projects Build and continuously evolve a strong production framework with well-defined pipelines and interfaces Represent the Production Department in leadership meetings and cross-departmental initiatives Ensure a clear separation and effective collaboration between Project Management and Producing functions Operational Management Oversee planning, tracking, and delivery across multiple productions Ensure quality, budget, and timeline alignment within established production frameworks Support the CPO in project forecasting, capacity planning, and financial awareness (P&L support responsibility) Identify bottlenecks and risks early, act decisively, and establish solutions with a “foot-down” mentality Implement and refine production standards, tools, and hybrid processes (Jira, Confluence, milestone frameworks, agile/waterfall integration) Team Development & Leadership Lead, mentor, and coach Producers, Product Owners, and Project Managers Foster a positive, transparent, and empowering team culture built on ownership, accountability, and trust Ensure clear communication structures between Producing, PM, and other departments Encourage continuous learning and improvement through structured feedback and performance reviews Align resource allocation, workload, and project priorities effectively Production Strategy & Process Ownership Develop and maintain a strong production pipeline concept, ensuring scalability and efficiency across projects Establish and enforce best practices for production planning, milestone definition, and delivery control Translate the studio’s product strategy into actionable production structures that reflect both vision and execution Understand each product in development to navigate priorities, dependencies, and cross-project requirements Authority & Decision-Making Take operational ownership of production-related decisions in alignment with studio leadership Represent Aesir’s production perspective in internal and external negotiations Maintain a solution-oriented, hands-on approach to leadership with a strong focus on implementation and accountability Additional responsibilities: The ideal candidate also has one more of the following: Your Daily Work Your Profile 10+ years of experience in game production or project leadership within the games industry Proven track record in leading multi-disciplinary production teams and managing Producers and/or Project Managers Demonstrated success in building and maintaining production pipelines and cross-departmental processes Strong understanding of both agile and hybrid development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, waterfall integration) Highly structured mindset, capable of developing, communicating, and executing detailed production plans Strategic understanding of product vision and the ability to translate it into production execution Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills Strong organizational and analytical capabilities with proactive problem-solving attitude Fluent in English (German a plus) Responsibilities Benefits A welcoming and vibrant office located just 10 minutes from Munich’s central station Hybrid or remote work options tailored to your individual needs 38-hour workweek ensuring a healthy work-life balance Free drinks (soft drinks, coffee, tea) and fresh organic fruit every week Monthly credit card top-up of 50€ for added convenience* Public transport ticket coverage and lunch subsidy* Team activities, knowledge-sharing events, and studio celebrations Table tennis and table soccer to recharge your energy Relocation support if needed *After the probation period Your Profile: Preferred qualifications: The ideal candidate also has: You have: You are: What we offer: Bonus Points Bonus Points
