Head of Product

I'm partnering with an early stage company building payment and identity infrastructure that lets autonomous AI agents authenticate, transact, and pay for services like APIs, data, compute, and commerce. They're backed by a strong group of institutional investors, have raised significant funding to date, and already have live integrations with major commerce and payments partners.

They're hiring a Head of Product to own product strategy and execution across the platform, reporting directly to the CEO. You'd be building the tools developers need to automate API workflows from start to finish: discovery, orchestration, billing, cost visibility, and spend optimisation, as AI agents increasingly act as independent economic participants. It's a hands on role at a lean, high ownership company, working closely with the founders on positioning, roadmap, and commercial strategy.

What the role involves:

• Owning product planning and strategy, from developer experience through to the underlying payments infrastructure

• Defining and prioritising developer facing use cases around API workflow automation, agent payments, and cost management

• Working directly with developers and AI practitioners to understand how they build with coding agents, consume APIs, and manage automated spend

• Partnering closely with engineering to ship quickly and iterate toward product market fit

• Working directly with the founders on positioning, roadmap, and commercial strategy

Compensation:

Base salary from $250K to $300K depending on experience, plus founding level equity in the business and token equity, both to be discussed and structured individually throughout the interview process.

Location:

San Francisco Bay Area, hybrid with a minimum of three days per week on site. H-1B transfers supported.

If you have deep fluency in modern AI development workflows (coding agents, foundation model APIs, developer tooling) and a background at an AI lab, AI infrastructure company, or developer platform, that's a strong plus. Payments or fintech experience is helpful but not required.
