Purpose of the role: As the Head of Tax and External Reporting you will be responsible for achieving and monitoring the objectives of the Finance Tax, Saas and Automation team. The focus will be to lead, manage and streamline information flows across the finance team; ensure all tax and financial regulatory returns are filed accurately on time. Managing Saas finance reporting and migrations and adding value through driving automation and AI across the finance team. Key Responsibilities: Tax, Audit and Regulatory Returns Responsible for optimising all direct and indirect taxes, including calculations and returns. · Manage the Group’s tax reporting and filing requirements; including corporation tax, gaming taxes and returns (including POCT) and VAT. Jurisdictions include UK, Ontario, Ireland, Gibraltar and Isle of Man. Providing leadership on finance-related regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions, working closely with compliance and other stakeholders to ensure obligations are met to a high standard. Actively own and manage Transfer pricing relationships, compliance and intercompany invoicing between group companies, including allocation keys and the allocation of shared resources and facilities · Prepare year-end financial statements, regulator returns and audit files for all companies and ensure that all audits are completed in a timely manner. Payroll, bonus accruals, returns, tax calculations and Salary control accounts relating to both employees and consultants · Corporate Structure implementation and Company Secretarial filings SaaS Representing Finance in SaaS transactions to evaluate opportunities and partner with the business in terms of finalising and then implementing contracts. · Manage all SaaS initiatives, including onboarding, support · For both internal and external clients: Manage and review the various player balance and revenue reconciliations performed by the finance team including control accounts, player bonuses and adjustments. · Liaise with the BI team to ensure that transactional data received is relevant, accurate, complete and received on time Finance Automation · Evaluate finance systems and processes and recommend automation and improvements · Establish and drive AI adoption across the finance team. Partner with the CFO and financial management team to shape long-term financial strategy. Support the CFO with Board Reporting and any ad-hoc tasks as required. Essential Skills & Experience: Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or qualified by experience. Significant senior finance experience, ideally gained within audit, the online gaming industry or another complex, fast-paced, regulated environment. Experienced in Audit, Tax and Financial Management. Proven leadership capability, with a strong track record of building, leading and developing high-performing finance teams. Previous experience of accounting software, preferably an ERP solution (NetSuite/NSPB) and Procure to Pay (Coupa) Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present complex financial matters clearly to executive leadership, boards and cross-functional teams. Strong technical accounting expertise, including IFRS and UK GAAP, with experience reviewing annual financial statements across multiple jurisdictions. Strong understanding of financial principles.
