Our client is a fast-growing investment management firm with a strong institutional platform, an entrepreneurial culture, and an expanding international presence. The business is headquartered in Hong Kong and works with a sophisticated global investor base, including institutional investors, family offices, and other professional investment partners.

As the organisation continues to scale, it is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to strengthen its people function and support the next stage of growth.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on and commercially minded HR professional to lead the full people agenda for a growing financial services business. Reporting to senior leadership, the successful candidate will manage the full employee lifecycle and act as a trusted partner to the management team on workforce planning, culture, talent, performance, reward, and HR operations.

The role will suit someone who enjoys both strategic input and practical execution, and who is comfortable operating in a high-performance, fast-moving, and highly professional environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with senior management on HR strategy, workforce planning, organisational design, and people-related decision-making.
  • Lead the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, mobility, promotions, exits, and related documentation.
  • Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, systems, employee records, and HR reporting practices.
  • Manage employee relations, performance management, career development, and learning initiatives.
  • Oversee compensation, benefits, payroll coordination, reward programmes, and annual review processes.
  • Support immigration, visa sponsorship, and cross-border employment matters where required.
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation, regulatory expectations, and internal governance standards across relevant jurisdictions.
  • Provide HR insights, workforce analysis, and support for audits, regulatory reviews, and business due diligence activities.

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of progressive HR experience, including experience in a managerial role
  • Degree holder in Human Resources or a related discipline.
  • Strong knowledge of Hong Kong employment legislation
  • Broad generalist HR experience across recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, HR operations, and policy development.
  • Prior experience in financial services, asset management, or other highly regulated environment is preferred.
  • Comfortable supporting an international workforce and working closely with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, with the ability to manage HR data, documentation, and reporting accurately.
  • Excellent written and spoken English; Cantonese or Mandarin capability would be an advantage.

The Right Person should be:

  • Hands-on, proactive, and comfortable building structure in a growing organisation.
  • Commercially aware, pragmatic, and able to balance employee needs with business priorities.
  • Confident working with senior stakeholders and providing sound advice on sensitive people matters.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities independently.
  • Strong communicator with excellent judgement, discretion, integrity, and professionalism.
  • Adaptable, resilient, and motivated by the opportunity to contribute to a high-growth business.
