About the Role
We are seeking a strategic and seasoned Senior Director of Human Resources to lead and elevate our people operations in Egypt. This is a pivotal leadership role for a results-driven HR executive who thrives on building high-performing teams, shaping organizational culture, and aligning HR strategy with global business objectives.
As our Senior Director, you will partner directly with the executive leadership team to design and implement innovative HR programs that attract, retain, and develop world-class talent.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute the HR strategy in alignment with the company’s long-term growth roadmap.
- Act as a trusted advisor to the C-suite on all people-related matters, organizational design, and workforce planning.
- Lead, mentor, and scale the HR team to deliver exceptional service across the employee lifecycle.
Talent Management & Development
- Drive a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy to attract senior and niche talent in a competitive market.
- Oversee performance management, succession planning, and leadership development programs.
- Foster a continuous learning culture through coaching, training, and career pathing initiatives.
Employee Experience & Culture
- Champion employee engagement, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives across the organization.
- Design and manage competitive compensation and benefits packages that reflect market benchmarks (in USD).
- Implement effective conflict resolution, disciplinary, and grievance procedures that ensure a positive work environment.
Operational Excellence
- Ensure full compliance with Egyptian labor law, tax regulations, and social insurance requirements.
- Oversee HRIS systems, data analytics, and reporting to drive informed decision-making.
- Manage budgets, vendor relationships, and HR audits with precision.
Qualifications & Requirements
Essential
- Experience: Minimum 12–15 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role (Director or above).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or SHRM/HRCI certification is a strong plus.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of Egyptian labor law, social insurance, and immigration processes.
- Strategic Agility: Proven track record of designing and implementing HR strategies that drive measurable business outcomes.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in both English and Arabic.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to influence, negotiate, and build consensus across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Tech Savvy: Proficiency with modern HRIS platforms (e.g., SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, or Oracle HCM) and advanced MS Excel skills.
Preferred
- Experience in multinational or fast-growing startups.
- Background in HR transformation, digital HR, or change management.
- Strong network in the Egyptian talent market.
