IB PYP Curriculum Coordinator

We are looking for an IB PYP Curriculum Coordinator for an international school based in Shanghai. This position is available from the upcoming 2026/27 academic year in August 2026. As an IB World School, it delivers the full continuum of PYP, MYP, DP, and CP programmes, while also integrating elements of the Chinese national curriculum and international frameworks like IGCSE and AP. With a focus on inquiry-based learning, bilingual instruction, and holistic student development, the school emphasizes both academic excellence and character growth. Responsibilities Curriculum Development and Implementation Oversee the design development and implementation of the IB PYP curriculum ensuring alignment with IB standards philosophy and learning outcomes Teacher Support and Professional Development Provide guidance mentoring and training to PYP teachers to enhance their understanding of the IB framework and inquiry-based teaching practices Assessment and Evaluation Develop and monitor assessment strategies that align with PYP principles ensuring student progress is tracked and reported effectively Program Compliance and Evaluation Ensure the PYP program meets IB authorization and evaluation requirements preparing documentation and facilitating IB review processes Collaboration and Communication Work with school leadership teachers and parents to promote the PYP philosophy fostering a collaborative and inclusive learning community Resource Management Curate and manage teaching and learning resources to support the PYP curriculum ensuring they are up-to-date and relevant to inquiry-based learning Bachelor degree in education At least 3 years of full-time teaching IB PYP IB certification Excellent communication skills Monthly salary of 28,000 to 35,000 RMB commensurate with experience and qualifications Monthly housing allowance of 6,000 RMB Summer and winter holidays Observance of national public holidays Comprehensive medical insurance coverage Flight reimbursement Work permit and visa sponsorship provided Free education for dependent children
