Job Description: By joining us in the role , you will play a key part in supporting and developing our Early Careers employees. You will be acting as the functional lead and you will coordinate recruitment, onboarding, placements and training, ensuring that apprentices gain the skills, knowledge and experience needed to succeed while supporting workforce capability, training compliance and colleague development across the function. Core Duties: You will work with the Early Careers team to coordinate the attraction, selection and review of Early Careers employees including onboarding activities You will be proactively engaging with prospective students and their tutors; facilitating roadshows, open days, STEM Ambassador activities etc As a functional lead for IT Early Careers, you will help to ensure that apprentices are allocated an appropriate placement to provide the required occupational skills, knowledge and behaviours You will be responsible for ensuring that placement Managers deliver top quality placements and support for Early Careers employees You will be collaborating and communicating with the Early Careers team as part of our functional early career responsibilities You will be responsible for supporting apprentices wellbeing and signposting them to appropriate support where necessary You will be required to analyse , report on and act upon training and competency data You will be identifying, tracking and monitoring skills gaps and training tickets for IM&T colleagues, ensuring that the team have the competency and qualifications Essential Skills: You will require experience of supporting others with the development of their knowledge, skills, behaviours and competencies Hold experience of monitoring, analysing and reporting on trends and metrics with a high level of Microsoft Office skills You will require strong planning, organising and stakeholder management skills with the ability to effectively communicate and present Experience of working with early careers employees, education or learning and development will be required The IM&T People Capability Team Here in the team, we are responsible for the delivery of three key streams of work, including functional leadership for Early Careers. We collaboratively ensure meaningful placements, oversee training and development programmes, manage the training budget and coordinate workforce capability planning to support talent growth, development, and long-term organisational success.
