Key Position Details: Allina Health is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Infectious Disease Physician to join our team at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. This is a high-impact opportunity for a physician who wants to combine complex clinical practice with meaningful program development, multidisciplinary partnership, and long-term growth. What You'll Build at Allina Health Help shape Infectious Disease services for expanding Bone Marrow Transplant and Hematology programs. Develop shared clinical protocols, prophylaxis standards, infection-management guidelines, and co-management workflows. Partner with Transplant, Hematology, Oncology, Critical Care, Pharmacy, Hospital Medicine, and Infection Prevention teams. Participate in regular multidisciplinary patient-review conferences and care-pathway development. Expand inpatient consultation capacity and outpatient access for follow-up and longitudinal care. A Practice Designed for Collaboration and Impact Care for medically complex patients, including individuals with acute leukemia, hematologic malignancies, transplant-related needs, and immunocompromising conditions. Contact: [email protected] or Text: ( 612) 900-2735 Job Description: Principle Responsibilities Evaluates, diagnoses, consults on, treats, and manages patients with a wide range of acute, chronic, and suspected infectious diseases across inpatient, outpatient hospital, and ambulatory clinic settings. Evaluates, interprets, and coordinates clinical information to make informed decisions and recommendations regarding patient care. Educates and consults with patients and their families regarding treatment plans and appropriate interventions, working collaboratively to improve patient health and well-being. Actively participates in a multidisciplinary, team-based approach to patient care and case management while thoughtfully considering cultural diversity, individual autonomy, and legal responsibilities. Documents patient care electronically in accordance with professional licensure, scope of practice, and organizational standards. Job Requirements Doctoral/Ph.D. level advanced degree in Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine or foreign equivalent from an approved school of medicine required and Completion of an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA) accredited Residency training program in Internal Medicine required and Completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited Fellowship training program in Infectious Disease or foreign equivalent training required Licensed Physician - MN Board of Medical Practice required if working in the state of Minnesota upon hire and ACLS-BLS Tier 3 - Multisource required within 180 Days and Licensed Physician - WI if working in the state of Wisconsin upon hire required and Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Infectious Disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine or in Infectious Disease by the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine upon hire required and Prescription Monitoring Program upon hire required and National Provider Identifier upon hire required Physical Demands Medium Work*: Lifting weight Up to 32 lbs. occasionally (*Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy), Up to 25 lbs. frequently Pay Range Pay Range: $280,000 to $330,000 per year The pay described reflects the starting base pay range, assuming a full-time FTE. Your starting rate will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable).
