We’re seeking an Internal Audit Consultant to help manage our client portfolio of outsourced and co-sourced audit functions. This senior role involves working in a dynamic environment, ensuring compliance with relevant frameworks, and coordinating key client relationships.

Your Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement internal audit policies, procedures, and programmes
• Manage and conduct internal audits within agreed timelines
• Prepare client-specific audit plans after conducting risk assessments
• Recommend improvements to internal controls, operational efficiency, and accounting procedures
• Report findings and recommendations to clients’ management and boards
• Oversee risk areas and control weaknesses in clients’ operations
• Conduct follow-up reviews on financial, operational, or regulatory deficiencies
• Interface with clients to optimize processes and resources
• Perform internal audits, governance reviews, and risk assessments
• Prepare audit working papers and reports following firm's methodology
• Review junior auditors’ work for quality assurance
• Assist in preparing client proposals and internal audit plans

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Internal Audit
• Experience in Risk Management
• CIA, CISA, CPA, or PCA qualifications
• Strong writing, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Fluent in English (Maltese is an asset)
• Proven leadership skills to coach and develop team members
