The power electronics team located in Villach is seeking for motivated students to work side by side with our scientists and research engineers towards scientific paper contributions, preparation of lab setups and building prototypes and test setups for various scenarios.

Your Future Tasks Include
As a student you can get the unique possibility to get hands-on experiences and working in an environment with the newest equipment and tools such as rapid control prototyping, power hardware in the loop infrastructure and modern oscilloscopes and probes.
Together with our scientists you will be able to explore emerging topics in power electronics (some selected topics see below):
- Electro-Mechanical Investigations of Thermal Interface Materials for Power Electronic applications*
- Thermal Imaging and Cooling System Analysis Within the Scope of Power Electronics Cooling*
- Testing and Characterization of Power Electronic Devices and Modules*
- Reliability Testing, Evaluation and Modelling on Power Semiconductor Devices and Components*
- Testing and Evaluation of Power Electronic Converters in an EV charging setup*
- Design and Prototyping of Mechanical Assemblies for Power Electronic Lab Setups*
- Implementation of Communication Interfaces, Energy Monitoring and State-Machines for an EV charging setup*
- Selected power electronics topics can be advanced directly into a master thesis or as follow-up on the INTERNSHIP into a master thesis.

Your Profile
For this position following requirements are a prerequisite:
- The student must be enrolled in a natural science or technical degree programme at an Austrian university or university of applied sciences during the internship.
- The student must have completed at least one semester at a university or university of applied sciences before starting the internship..

This position is subject to the Collective Agreement for Employees in Non-University Research (Research Collective Agreement Section 19). The monthly gross salary for this position is € 1,461.00.
