Join Duke Cardiology at Lake Norman - Live on the lake! Duke Health's Division of Cardiology is seeking an experienced, high-performing Interventional Cardiologist (BE/BC) to join the faculty and support the continued growth of the Heart and Vascular Service Line at Duke Health Lake Norman Hospital in Mooresville, North Carolina. As part of Duke Health's strategic investment in expanding cardiovascular care throughout the region, the Lake Norman program is undergoing significant growth and development. The current cardiovascular team includes two Interventional Cardiologists, one Electrophysiologist, one Non-Invasive Cardiologist, and dedicated APP support. Planned growth includes the recruitment of a third Interventional Cardiologist, expansion to two Non-Invasive Cardiologists, continued development of Electrophysiology and Heart Failure services, and the advancement of a fully integrated cardiovascular program in partnership with Duke Health and Duke University Hospital. The program is also slated to expand with a new Heart Center featuring a dedicated cardiac catheterization laboratory, electrophysiology laboratory, advanced coronary CTA capabilities with physiologic assessment, enhanced heart failure services, and early plans to establish a 24/7 STEMI program for the Lake Norman community. The long-term vision includes seamless integration with Duke's nationally recognized cardiovascular programs, providing coordinated access to advanced heart failure, cardiac transplantation, structural heart disease, cardiac surgery, and other tertiary and quaternary cardiovascular services available through Duke Health. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to the continued development of Duke Health's cardiovascular programs in the Lake Norman region while participating in a growing and increasingly integrated Heart and Vascular Service Line supported by the clinical, academic, and research strengths of Duke's nationally recognized Division of Cardiology. The service also supports the evaluation and management of patients presenting with cardiogenic shock, including the use of Impella®-assisted mechanical circulatory support. As the Heart and Vascular Service Line continues to evolve, additional cardiovascular capabilities and programmatic offerings will be developed in collaboration with Duke Health's Division of Cardiology and Duke University Hospital.
