Job Summary We are seeking an experienced IT Analyst Applications (Snowflake Developer) to join RI Order Fulfilment & Procurement–CAT IT Division . To support the SDP (Sales Data Platform), EPDP, and SCDP applications. This role will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining Snowflake-based data solutions while ensuring high availability, performance, and data quality across critical procurement and supplier data platforms. The preference for this role is to be based out of Bangalore – Caterpillar PSN This position requires candidate to work a 5-day -a -week schedule. Shift Timing: 01:00-10:00PM IST Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and optimize Snowflake data models, ETL/ELT pipelines, and data integration solutions. Support ongoing development and production support activities for SDP, EPDP, and SCDP applications. Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and application teams to understand data requirements and deliver scalable solutions. Develop and maintain data ingestion, transformation, and reporting processes using Snowflake and cloud-based technologies. Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines, resolve production issues, and perform root cause analysis. Optimize database performance, storage, and query efficiency. Ensure data security, governance, and compliance standards are maintained. Support system upgrades, data migrations, and modernization initiatives. Participate in Agile development processes, code reviews, and technical documentation. Work closely with onsite and offshore teams to deliver high-quality solutions and support business objectives. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience. 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or database development. Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake, SQL, Python and data modeling concepts. Experience with ETL/ELT tools, data integration frameworks, and cloud platforms (AWS preferred). Knowledge of data warehousing, performance tuning, and data governance best practices. Experience supporting production systems and resolving complex data-related issues. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with AWS services, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices. Knowledge of procurement, supplier management, or enterprise data platforms. Familiarity with reporting and visualization tools such as Power BI. Implementation: Knowledge of how to run applications for organizations; ability to implement application software within an organization and help end-users perform specific tasks (ex: accounting or graphic design). System Testing: Knowledge of system and software testing; ability to design, plan and execute system testing strategies and tactics to ensure the quality of software at all stages of the system life cycle.
