IVY Project Partner for the Interreg project "RuralYouthFuture" Support developing youth policies for rural sustainable development. VOLUNTEER The University of Latvia is looking for an IVY volunteer! The volunteer will support the Interreg project “RuralYouthFuture" , under the Programme Interreg Europe. The objective of the Interreg project "RuralYouthFuture" is to improve the effectiveness of youth employment policies for sustainable rural development. Six policy instruments will be addressed, at municipal, regional and national level, to face a common challenge: responding to the needs of young people in their rural territories, by reducing the inequalities with urban peers and fighting ageing and growing depopulation. Different approaches will be shared through interregional experience exchange activities to develop common solutions. The volunteer will be carrying out the following tasks and activities: support the implementation and communication of the Rural Youth Future project by assisting with the dissemination of project activities and results; help prepare communication materials, collect examples of good practices from project partners, and contribute to the promotion of project meetings, workshops, and stakeholder events through the University's communication channels; assist in documenting project activities, preparing short news articles, social media content, photos, and other visual materials that highlight the project's objectives and achievements; support the presentation of project outcomes related to improving opportunities for young people in rural areas, making the results more accessible to students, stakeholders, and the wider public. Other information: Financial support of: 29 euros per day (week-end and holidays included) . Location: Riga, Latvia. Start and duration: September, for 6 months. The amount provided allows them to live in similar conditions as the local population where they are volunteering, and ranges from 21.48 EUR to 92.96 EUR per day. Insurance IVY volunteers are fully covered with health, liability and accident insurance. AEBR arranges the policies for you for the entire duration of the experience, if needed. Contribution to travel costs Travel costs to relocate are covered by AEBR, based on lump sums according to the distance between the host organisation and your place of residence. The sum is allocated depending on the distance in km. Visa Volunteers are responsible for ensuring that they have the appropriate visa, residence permit, or any other authorization required to legally enter, reside, and carry out their volunteering activity in the hosting country. Once selected, volunteers are expected to complete all necessary administrative procedures, and submit the required documentation to the relevant authorities. For eligible volunteers relocating between countries participating in the IVY initiative, IVY will reimburse the costs associated with obtaining the required visa, and provide invitation letters and proof of financial means. However, the responsibility for identifying the correct visa, preparing the application, and completing the necessary formalities remains with the volunteer.
